General Responsibilities (90%)

• Maintaining existing PC based / hand held automotive diagnostic applications
• Automotive diagnostic tool development – e.g. remote / wireless diagnostics
• Set up and test of laptop based diagnostic tools
• Customer helpline support
• Helpline database design and maintenance.
• Project Management

Miscellaneous Duties (10%)

• Help out in other work areas when requested by your supervisor.
• Maintain time records and project reports as required
• Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Requirements

• Bsc Electrical and Electronic Engineering / Software Engineering
• Position requires some UK and international travel
• Previous experience of automotive electrical / electronic systems would be an advantage.
• Software development using Delphi, Visual ‘C’ or similar.

General Responsibilities (90%)

Application development of a Multibus multiplexed electrical control system for bus and coach. Main tasks include:-

1. Define and analyse requirements in conjunction with customer - requires good communication skills.
2. Interface sensors and electrical loads to Multibus ECUs - requires electronic/electrical knowledge.
3. Designs, and develop embedded C software application to control vehicle electrical system.
4. Apply software testing, configuration control and documentation procedures
5. Provide helpline and technical support to customers.

Requirements

HND / Degree in electrical and electronic engineering or similar.

Experience in any of the following area is an advantage:-

• Automotive electrical / electronic systems
• Serial data communications – CAN Bus
• Real time embedded software applications
• Software specification and project management
