ACTIA, the specialists in onboard systems for commercial vehicles and automotive diagnostics has developed SmarTach the digital tachograph system which is now standard line fit on Citroën, Peugeot, Fiat, Iveco, Optare, BMC and LDV.


Smart Card

The ACTIA SmarTach system meets all the requirements of EC Regulation 1360/2002 and records a comprehensive range of data including periods of driving, resting and speed together with vehicle related data and calibration information.

The SmarTach vehicle unit is designed to fit any standard radio slot, has an easy to read display, 2 smartcard readers and an integrated ticket printer with paper roll. A range of intelligent speed sensors are available to connect to the vehicle unit to complete the secure system in line with the Annex 1b regulatory requirements.


SmarTachSmarTach has a mass memory to store 365 days of data of driver activity, events and 24 hours of speed and over-speed records.

Alarms are provided to assist the driver and information screens are displayed to indicate weekly and fortnightly driver duty.

Interfaces are included to link to on board fleet management systems and to connect to instrument clusters. A front mounted socket allows for downloading data and calibration.

Dedicated driver, workshop, control and company cards are used to gain access rights to the various SmarTach data information.

Driver related information is stored on personal driver cards that will hold a minimum of 28 days driver duty data.

The ACTIA SmarTach printer allows printing of real time data, daily driver activities, events, over-speeding and technical data.
